STEEL-IT 2213 EPOXY ESTER PRECOAT

STEEL-IT 2213 Epoxy Ester Precoat is part of the STEEL-IT Polyurethane System and designed to be used together with the STEEL-IT 1002 Steel Gray Polyurethane Topcoat or the STEEL-IT 1012 Black Polyurethane Topcoat.

STEEL-IT 2213 Epoxy Ester Precoat replaces the discontinued STEEL-IT 2203 Alkyd Precoat. Like the former STEEL-IT 2203 Precoat, the new STEEL-IT 2213 Epoxy Ester Precoat is not weldable. When used under the STEEL-IT Polyurethane Topcoat, the STEEL-IT Polyurethane Topcoat will no longer be directly weldable. For applications where welding directly on the cured coating is a priority, it is recommended to omit the precoat completely and instead apply two coats of the Polyurethane Topcoat directly to the profiled bare metal. Proper surface preparation and profiling on the metal is required whether or not a precoat is used.

STEEL-IT 2213 Epoxy Ester Precoat is available in liquid quarts and gallons.
